A Rainy Evening

There is something about the rain and the dusk and the yellow street lamps that creates a magical atmosphere on rainy evenings in New York City.

If you take the time to peek out from under your umbrella or over the high collar of your trench coat as you walk home in the chilly air, you will see everything you pass is laced with gold.

Oooh these photos are lovely! They make me wish I was in NYC! I've never been but hope to visit one day...

As long as I don't have to take the subway or bus anywhere, I too love when it rains in NYC.

Vana - mmm, I love that smell too.

Hey Harriet - do come visit!

Rebecca - Excellent point, it's not such fun when you're trying to get somewhere on public transport!

It's great when a grown-up can still see with child-mind. I love your eye.

These are absolutely gorgeous. I thought the branches in the first photo had Christmas tree lights on them at first.
