I Have a Date Too

Nobody would begrudge a girl a date on a night when her husband is off next door playing cards with his friends, right? That's what I thought too, so to console myself while hanging out at home all by my lonesome I made a date for myself. And not just any date, but one stuffed with creamy goat cheese, wrapped in a thin slice of prosciutto, and tossed in a warm pan for no more than 30 seconds until the prosciutto softens around the date and the goat cheese melts just ever-so-slightly. Yum. Somebody's missing out, no question about it.

Where do you come up with this stuff?

oh elizabeth, don't be bitter! you make it sound like we've never invited you to join us in our card playing ways. you just have a big fat prejudice against it.
and ash, you KNOW it was worth it. IT WAS! oh no, wait. you lost. oops.
and evan - i do not know how your sister comes up with these ideas... she is incredibly surprising and inspiring in her culinary choices!

Someone was gracious enough to make another one at 1:00am. I guess it was a win win after all.

Ash - of course I wouldn't make something new in the kitchen and not try it out on my favorite test subject! Hope you enjoyed the 1 a.m. snack.

Evan - It's called watching The Food Network!

Amy - Very true, you co-conspirators would just love to bring another innocent victim into the hezari obsession. But I will resist!

Hit with the ol' photog-block, eh? Hey, it can be rough. Whenever I need inspiration, I just brew up some Earl Grey and kick back to the sweet sounds of Ludwig Van. Give it a go, and you'll come up with something.
